It’s prom night on Pretty Little Liars, and the music in tonight’s episode took us all on a journey through the highs and lows of the intense night. Indie rock outfit Ivan & Alyosha’s track “The Fold” was featured, and it’s no surprise the band calls Seattle home; their songs have all the makings of the layered, harmony rich folk sound common to Pacific Northwest bands like the Head and the Heart. Upcoming electro-pop band Saint Motel gets two nods in this episode, for their tracks “Midnight Movies” and “My Type,” and both shimmery nu-disco tracks fit the episode like a glove. However, the best featured track from the episode has to be “Disturbia” from Rihanna—everyone loves a throwback track.
