The big day has finally arrived on Chasing Life in “The Last W,” featuring tracks from The Holy Coast and Us and Our Daughters. Beth’s afterparty goes down to “Beautiful Decay” from AIMES, a synth-wave project from Brooklyn producer Aman Ellis. His use of swirling synths, glitchy 8-bit touches provide a nice contrast to “Yeah Yeah Yeah” from Farmdale, a catchy energetic rock song that errs more on the side of pop than punk. You may remember The Holy Coast’s song featured in “A View From The Ledge,” and they’re back this week with another indie-rock-meets-new-wave track called “Fightning.” The episode ends with a touching scene—April and Leo dance as husband and wife, while “Lost And Found” from real life couple Phillip and Lia La Rue of Us And Our Daughters, plays in the background.
